ABOUT NIK
As new information and communication technology changes the world and inspires society to new working possibilities, organisations are needed where participation and B-2-B exchange can take place. In 1994 NIK was initiated in order to form a linkage between local business management and executives of local and regional governments.
NIK members are formed by well-known production, procurement, and service companies and network operators. Moreover, we embrace heads of universities and scientific research institutes. NIK has contacts with representatives from the Bavarian state government and the city councils of Erlangen, Fuerth and Nuremberg. The Nuremberg Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Trade Unions are co-operative partners of NIK. We also co-operate with many companies an IT related institutions all over Germany and Europe.
OUR MISSION
One of our objectives is to work collaboratively with decision-makers of the private and public sector and to connect with start-ups and highly established companies. NIK members are invited to a careful assortment of business events. Discussion and lecture events with highly qualified guest speakers will inform our members about recent technology and market trends. We support progressive ideas and enhance the transfer of new technologies. Our goal is to support and to initiate R&D projects because we want to make a sustainable contribution to our cities economy competence in the field of information and communications technology.
